A new possible 2023

Sparklers on New Year's Eve

Firstly, happy new year! I hope you’ve had a replenishing time off during the festive season. I wish for this year to open the doors to wonder, adventure and meaning!

I wanted to kick off this newsletter with one of my favourite quotes:
“Another world is not only possible; she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.” - Arundhati Roy

I can hear her breathing. I can hear these breaths in my coaching sessions, in interesting conversations, in communities and in following the journeys we are all on. Something is emerging collectively, an awakening of sorts, a new level of consciousness—a connection to meaning, belonging, and community.

I notice it in many things, one of which is how many people have set intentions or chosen a word of the year instead of making resolutions and goals. We are approaching the new possibilities differently. We are becoming more purposeful; it seems like achievement can only get us so far.

I got curious about this shift in me and us collectively. I wanted to invite you to set intentions first, even if you are still setting goals. So, I’ve written a Medium post about this, which you can read here.

I’ve been embracing strategy as an emergence rather than a plan, which has served me well. Setting intentions for the past few years helped me navigate the “messy middle” between the far-away vision and the immediate next step. Last year, an adventure unfolded, one which I am incredibly grateful for. I couldn’t have conceived it upfront. And it set a foundation and rhythm for my business, life, and how I want to show up in the world. So, not seeing beyond the next few months opened me up to new possibilities - and a new venture, which I will be launching shortly, together with two other amazing women. I can’t wait to share it.

At the end of the year, I also facilitated my first community session. I wanted to share this process wider; it brought together people from different circles in my life and gave me a glimpse of the future I’ve been dreaming about. We closed the cycle of 2022 and set new intentions, A new possible for 2023 together. Thank you to everyone who attended; it was a real blessing!

And the gathering was connected directly to two of my themes for next year - COURAGE and COMMUNITY, which will guide me in creating what I really want:

My new possible for 2023 is launching a group coaching program and community for creative leaders. Boom, there, I’ve said it publicly and called it into being.

What is your new possible for 2023?
